Meet Mari Dietitian, nutritionist & educator

As a dietitian, nutritionist and educator, I love to see individuals eat confidently for their health and nutrition needs, with no shame or guilt.

My awareness of nutrition developed after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a young teen. In my early years, I counted every morsel and crumb that passed my lips. I felt guilty about eating. I felt bad. And sad. And eventually I realised strict food rules were more harmful than helpful.

Drawing on this experience, combined with my professional training, and the many stories I hear about eating struggles, I aim to offer nutrition services with non-judgement. I value unpacking dieting myths and food misinformation that commonly cause confusion. I invite you to be curious about your eating experiences as I believe that a healthy relationship with food is important for overall wellbeing.
Together, we can explore practical and realistic eating tips that fit into your life. As a working mum, I appreciate how challenging it can be to give consideration to our own needs while managing a busy schedule alongside the pulls of feeding our smaller people. My goal is to help you find a way of eating that nourishes your body and works well for you.
