Meet Mari Dietitian, nutritionist & educator
As a dietitian, nutritionist and educator, I love to see individuals eat confidently for their health and nutrition needs, with no shame or guilt.
My awareness of nutrition developed after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a young teen. In my early years, I counted every morsel and crumb that passed my lips. I felt guilty about eating. I felt bad. And sad. And eventually I realised strict food rules were more harmful than helpful.
I stay up to date with the latest evidence in nutrition by attending professional workshops & conferences, listening to podcasts, and reading research.
As a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, I participate in regular clinical supervision throughout the year.
