Nutrition Services
Nutrition support is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to your needs.
Clients often arrive with complex histories around food, eating, and health, including things they have already tried and supports that have helped to varying degrees.
Sessions provide space to make sense of what is happening now, clarify what matters most to you, and begin shaping a plan that feels workable.
For many people, the first appointments focus mainly on assessment and planning rather than trying to change everything at once. Ongoing sessions create more space for practical strategies, reflection, and gradual change.
Appointments are available via Telehealth across Australia, with limited clinic‑based appointments in Hall, ACT.
This call can help if you are unsure whether to book, have questions about the appointment process, or would like to clarify whether I am the right person to support you.
Nutrition support is usually offered over more than one session, especially where concerns are longstanding, complex, or overlapping.
Initial appointments are mostly focused on assessment, understanding your history and priorities, and agreeing on a direction together.
Review sessions then focus on building and adjusting the plan over time, with room for education, problem‑solving, and support.
Up to 60 minutes
From 20-30 minutes
Up to 45 minutes
These appointments are available on request, and typically agreed upon during an earlier nutrition appointment.
Most people benefit from a series of appointments so there is time for assessment, planning, and ongoing support.
Occasionally, it may be appropriate to have a single session for a specific question or a brief check‑in (for example, reviewing current strategies or clarifying nutrition advice you have already received).
If you are wondering whether a one‑off appointment is suitable, you are welcome to book a complimentary 15‑minute call so we can work out the best fit.
Up to 60 minutes
Up to 45 minutes
Shorter appointment focused on assessment only.
We use this time to understand your health history, current eating patterns, and the goals outlined in your referral.
Detailed food goals, meal structure, and other practical strategies are not covered in this session and are usually developed in follow‑up appointments (Telehealth or face-to-face, where available).
From 20-30 minutes
Focused follow‑up sessions to build on the assessment.
Check‑in on how things have been feeling, adjust goals, and explore practical strategies at a pace that feels manageable.
Face-to-face review appointments may be combined with Telehealth sessions depending on your needs and availability.
A Medicare rebate may be available if you have a current GP Chronic Condition Management Plan referral for dietitian services.
From 1 July 2025, this plan replaces the previous Management Plan (GPMP) and Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan for chronic medical conditions.
The current Medicare rebate for allied health services is $63.40 per session, for up to 5 sessions per calendar year.
Your GP referral must be in place before your nutrition appointment for the rebate to apply.
Your responsibility
Medicare does not automatically track this limit for you at the time of booking.
If you are using a Chronic Condition Management Plan, you are responsible for keeping track of how many eligible allied health sessions you have used across the calendar year, including dietitian visits.
If you attend more than 5 eligible allied health sessions in a calendar year, any additional sessions will not receive a Medicare rebate.
You can check your claiming history through your Medicare online account via myGov, the Express Plus Medicare app, or by calling Medicare on 132 011.
I’m happy to help you think through the timing of appointments, but it is still your responsibility to confirm your remaining Medicare sessions.
A Medicare rebate may also be available with an appropriate Eating Disorder Plan referral from your GP or psychiatrist.
The current Medicare rebate for dietitian services under an Eating Disorder Plan is $63.40 per session.
Up to 20 dietitian sessions may be available over the 12‑month period of the plan, depending on review requirements and your referring clinician’s recommendations.
Your referral must be in place before your nutrition appointment for the rebate to apply.
You may be eligible for a rebate from your Private Health Fund if you have extras or ancillary cover. Please check with your fund for details.
A rebate from both Medicare and a private health fund cannot be claimed for the same session / appointment.

Yes! I have a clinic day on Friday mornings, two times a month. These run during school terms only.
The clinic is set up within Bruce Sports Medicine, which is located on 8 Victoria Street, Hall ACT 2618
Appointments are generally offered during the following days and times:
I may have openings on other occasions during a specific week, so you are welcome to email me with your preferred appointment days/times if none of the ones listed above work for you.Â
I endeavour to respond to all enquiries in a timely manner (please do check your junk/spam folders from time to time).
For many people, nutrition support works best over several appointments. This gives us time to understand the full picture, plan together, and make changes at a pace that feels manageable.
Sometimes, a single session can be enough for a specific question or brief check‑in (for example, reviewing changes you have already made, or clarifying advice you have received from another clinician).
If your situation is more complex, involves eating disorder concerns, or there are significant medical or mental health risks, it is unlikely that one session will be sufficient. In these cases, we will talk about options for ongoing support.
If you are unsure whether a one‑off appointment is appropriate, you are welcome to book a complimentary 15‑minute call so we can work out the best fit.
Absolutely, I’d be happy to support you if your nutrition concerns and my professional experience are a good match. Each dietitian has their area of experience, know-how and practice, and I may be able to refer you to one of my colleagues if I feel their nutrition interest or approach may better suit you.
While I have a special interest in eating behaviours, diabetes, and mental health, I can cover other nutrition areas including:

I prefer to refer children and their parents/carers to my paediatric colleagues.
I am open to seeing ‘older teenagers’ (16yrs and above) as most of my work has been with adults and adolescents in their late teens.
Sorry. I no longer provide services under NDIS arrangements.

I am a DVA provider.
My practice has a cap on the number of DVA clients I see at a time, so please contact me if you are interested in seeing me with a DVA referral / cycle of care.
Sorry, my practice is generally not bulk-billing.
However I understand first hand how health costs can easily add up in situations such as full-time study, chronic illness/disability, and/or other difficult life circumstances.
Some concessions and/or payment plans may be available upon request. Please email me for more information.
